Baseball Game Preview: Windham Whippets vs. Plainfield Panthers

Windham is 0-10 against Plainfield since May of 2018 but things could change on Monday. The Whippets will head out on the road to take on the Panthers at 4:00 p.m. Windham has given up an average of 12.9 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Suffield hit Windham with a six-run fourth inning on Saturday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Whippets lost 12-2 to the Wildcats.

Meanwhile, Plainfield came into Saturday's contest having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They were the clear victors by an 8-1 margin over Wilbur Cross on Saturday. The Panthers not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since April 4th (when they won 16-5).

Windham's loss dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Plainfield, their victory bumped their record up to 6-11.

Windham might still be hurting after the 16-5 defeat they got from Plainfield in their previous meeting back in April. Can the Whippets avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
