Softball Game Preview: Sioux Central Rebels vs. East Sac County Raiders

The Sioux Central Rebels will head out on the road to face off against the East Sac County Raiders at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.

On Friday, Sioux Central didn't have quite enough to beat Pocahontas and fell 8-7.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask East Sac County). They put the hurt on South Central Calhoun with a sharp 29-0 victory on Friday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Raiders considering their two-run performance the matchup before.

Sioux Central's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 10-7. As for East Sac County, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 9-7 record.

Sioux Central was able to grind out a solid victory over East Sac County in their previous meeting back in June of 2024, winning 4-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rebels since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
