Softball Recap: Roosevelt Comes Up Short

Roosevelt was the 7-1 winner over Ames when they last played one another back in June of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Roughriders fell 7-3 to the Little Cyclones on Monday. The Roughriders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Roosevelt's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Ames, their victory bumped their record up to 14-5.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Roosevelt beat the Little Cyclones by a score of 9-5 later that day.
