Baseball Recap: Oglethorpe County Takes a Loss

Oglethorpe County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They came up short against the Banks County Leopards, falling 9-1. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Leopards this season, with their most recent loss being a 8-5 defeat on Friday.

Oglethorpe County's loss dropped their record down to 9-16. As for Banks County, the victory was the 15th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 21-3.

Coming up, Oglethorpe County will challenge Providence Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Storm will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something the Patriots surely won't give up without a fight. As for Banks County, they will head out on the road to face off against Elbert County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Leopards' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Blue Devils have averaged an impressive 7.4 runs per game this season.
