Basketball Recap: Pacific Comes Up Short

Pacific lost against San Gorgonio back in November of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Pacific Pirates took a hard 52-35 fall against the San Gorgonio Spartans. The Pirates' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row.

J Benson was nothing short of spectacular for San Gorgonio: she dropped a triple-double on 21 points, 11 rebounds, and 15 steals. Benson is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down 11 or more in the last three games she's played. Star Ramos was another key player, going 5 of 7 on her way to 11 points.

Pacific's record is now 1-5. As for San Gorgonio, their win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-6.

Pacific will be playing in front of their home fans against Entrepreneur at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for San Gorgonio, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 40-26 loss against Citrus Hill on the 13th.
