Basketball Recap: Eden Christian Academy Takes a Loss

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 65-13, which was the final score in Eden Christian Academy's tilt against the Ellwood City Wolverine on Saturday.

It was another big night for Delaney Sturgeon, who almost dropped a double-double on 28 points and nine steals for Ellwood City. Sturgeon has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last seven times she's played. Another player making a difference was Caitlin Kreitzer, who went 7 for 12 on her way to 14 points in addition to seven boards and seven steals.

Eden Christian Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season. As for Ellwood City, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Eden Christian Academy has already played their next game (against Aquinas Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Ellwood City has also has no score uploaded for their next contest, this one against Beaver Falls.
