Baseball Recap: Terry Sanford Takes Down Harnett Central in a Playoff Battle

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Terry Sanford walked away with it. They came out on top against the Harnett Central Trojans by a score of 4-0 on Tuesday. This was a revenge game for the Bulldogs: when they faced off against the Trojans back in April, they had to take a 4-3 defeat.

The result came thanks to Jack Reaves's shutout, as he gave up just four hits.

At the plate, Josh Mozingo was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Mason Walker was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Terry Sanford has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for Harnett Central, their loss dropped their record down to 15-11.

Terry Sanford wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 5-4 defeat against Southern Lee on the 15th. Harnett Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
