Softball Recap: Medomak Valley's Win on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Five

It's playoff time, and Medomak Valley had no trouble coming through when it counted. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Hermon Hawks a 1-0 shutout on Saturday. Winning may never get old, but the Panthers sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

The result came thanks to Sidney Nichols's shutout, as she gave up just three hits and racked up 12 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up a single earned run any time she's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Medomak Valley's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Grace Havener, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one RBI.

Medomak Valley's victory bumped their record up to 17-3. As for Hermon, they moved to 17-3 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

As of now, neither Medomak Valley nor the Hawks have any future games scheduled.
