Austin Rowe and Landon Brunstetter made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Rowe tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Brunstetter struck out seven batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits (and only one walk). At bat, Rowe went 3-for-4 with three runs and one triple, while Brunstetter went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Easton Armstrong, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases. Noah Majersky was another, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with two runs.

LaBrae's record is now 20-5. As for Springfield, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-12.
