Brookstone won the last time they faced Strong Rock Christian and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Cougars sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 win over the Patriots.

Brookstone's victory was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Brennan Neal, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Mercer Hudson was another, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

Brookstone's win bumped their record up to 18-5. As for Strong Rock Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-14 record this season.

Brookstone will have a chance to go back-to-back against Strong Rock Christian: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday.
