Softball Recap: Cheyenne/Reydon Picks Up Sixth Consecutive Win

Cheyenne/Reydon strolled into their game on Saturday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They walked away with a 9-5 victory over the Geronimo Blue Jays.

Cheyenne/Reydon let Cambree McGlothlin and Kimbo Denney run wild. McGlothlin went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Denney went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That stolen base was Denney's first of the season.

Cheyenne/Reydon was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .476. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .316 or higher in five consecutive contests.

Cheyenne/Reydon's win bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Geronimo, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Cheyenne/Reydon wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Mangum on the 16th. As for Geronimo, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Anadarko at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Blue Jays are facing the Warriors at the right time seeing as the Warriors are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
