Basketball Recap: Mercer Comes Up Short

Mercer lost to Wilmington back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Mustangs lost 57-35 to the Greyhounds. The Mustangs were down 48-22 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Mercer's defeat dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Wilmington, their victory bumped their record up to 15-2.

Looking ahead, Mercer is taking a road trip to take on Kennedy Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Kennedy Catholic will roll in looking for their 13th straight win, something Mercer surely won't give up without a fight. As for Wilmington, they and Union City will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest, having both just played.
