Basketball Recap: Pacheco Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Mary Tava and Sasha Siemiller

Pacheco has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 60-54 heartbreaker at the hands of the Grace Davis Spartans. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Spartans apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Sasha Siemiller and Mary Tava certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Siemiller posted 15 points in addition to eight steals and six rebounds, while Tava had 17 points. Tava is also on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted two or more in the last 11 games she's played. Ashley Jimenez was another key player, putting up five points.

Pacheco's defeat dropped their record down to 13-7. As for Grace Davis, they pushed their record up to 17-2 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home.

Pacheco has already played their next matchup (against Livingston), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Grace Davis has also has no score uploaded for their next contest, this one against Johansen.
