Recap: Woodcreek Timberwolves vs. Wood Wildcats

The Woodcreek Timberwolves have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four contests by 24 points or more this season. They blew past Wood 61-29 on the road. 61 seems to be a good number for Woodcreek as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.

Wood lost on Wednesday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Lucia Alexander, who scored 11 points. Another player making a difference was Sa?nyah Stewart, who scored seven points along with nine rebounds.

The victory was the third in a row for Woodcreek, bringing their record for this year to 5-5. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.0 points per game. As for Wood, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-6.

Woodcreek will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Caruthers on December 28th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in California (Caruthers is ranked 221st, while Woodcreek is ranked 213th). Wood will be home for the holidays to greet Davis at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Davis focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 last Saturday.
