Recap: Durham Trojans vs. Colusa RedHawks

The Durham Trojans were the 34-30 winner over the Colusa RedHawks when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Durham fell to Colusa 55-51. While losing is never fun, Durham can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 633rd, while Colusa is ranked 311th).

Several Trojans players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Clare Osbon, who scored 15 points. Karla Rangel was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.

Durham's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-9. As for Colusa, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Durham will face off against Live Oak at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Live Oak has now lost 11 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 4. Colusa on the road again on Monday and play against Winters at 7:00 p.m. on January 22nd. Winters is on a six-game streak of home wins, Colusa a four-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
