Basketball Recap: MMI Preparatory School Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Georgia Washko and Olivia Moore

MMI Preparatory School was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss. They lost 48-23 to the Tunkhannock Tigers. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against MMI Preparatory School this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 58-6 back in January.

Olivia Moore and Georgia Washko certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Moore posted eight points and nine boards, while Washko put up four points and nine rebounds. What's more, Washko also racked up two assists, the most she's had since back in February of 2024. Chloe Allen also deserves some recognition as she posted her first block of the season.

Even though they lost, MMI Preparatory School smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

MMI Preparatory School's defeat dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Tunkhannock, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-9.

MMI Preparatory School has already played their next matchup (against Wyoming Seminary College Prep), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Tunkhannock has also has no score uploaded for their next contest, this one against Lake-Lehman.
