Softball Recap: Valor Christian Victorious

Valor Christian had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Denver South on Tuesday. The Eagles never let the Ravens get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Ravens recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Elizabeth Canales looked comfortable as she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 12 over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than 12 strikeouts any time she's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Karis Flannery was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Abigail Watson was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Valor Christian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Denver South only posted a batting average of .176.
