Basketball Recap: Charleigh Atkinson's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Christian School of York over Harrisburg Academy

Christian School of York fought the good fight in their overtime game against Harrisburg Academy on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Harrisburg Academy Spartans by a score of 41-38. Christian School of York was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Harrisburg Academy apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Several Christian School of York players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Charleigh Atkinson, who posted 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cally Carpenter, who earned nine points.

Christian School of York is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-10. As for Harrisburg Academy, they moved to 4-6 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Christian School of York will challenge York Country Day at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Harrisburg Academy, they will take on New Covenant Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
