Soccer Game Preview: Fellowship Christian vs. Mount Vernon

The Fellowship Christian Paladins will take on the Mount Vernon Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Fellowship Christian fell victim to Cambridge and their airtight defense on Wednesday. They came up short against the Bears, falling 4-0.

Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 1-1 at halftime, Mount Vernon was not quite Paideia's equal in the second half on Saturday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pythons. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Mount Vernon came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 58th, while Paideia are ranked 221st).

Fellowship Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Mount Vernon, their loss dropped their record down to 4-2.

Fellowship Christian came out on top in a nail-biter against Mount Vernon in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, sneaking past 3-2. Does Fellowship Christian have another victory up their sleeve, or will Mount Vernon turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
