Miami Central vs. Norland headlines this week's slate.

The Greater Miami Athletic Conference championship features two of the best teams in South Florida as No. 6 Central (Miami) faces No. 7 Norland (Miami) on Friday at Traz Powell Stadium. The Vikings will be playing their second game this week after knocking off No. 9 American Heritage (Plantation) 32-27 on Monday.

Miami-Dade County's all-time leader in passing yards Ennio Yapoor accounted for five touchdowns in the win while passing for 250 yards.

Central has won five in a row since a season-opening loss against No. 3 Lakeland. The Rockets' two biggest wins came against American Heritage and No. 19 Northwestern (Miami)

Miami Central and Norland met twice last season with the Vikings emerging victorious in overtime in both contests. Central was 12-0 against Norland since 2006 until last year. Both teams sit just outside the national rankings and a win on Friday will go a long way in joining the MaxPreps Top 25.

Clearwater Central Catholic has won every game by at least 14 points this season and are winning by an average margin of 34.7 points per game. The Marauders have another big-time showdown next week when they host St. Frances Academy (Baltimore).
