Soccer Recap: Wednesday's Loss Ends Acalanes' Winning Streak

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Acalanes can now relate to. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Amador Valley on Wednesday. While losing is never fun, Acalanes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 102nd in California, while Amador Valley is ranked 13th in California).

Acalanes does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Amador Valley, they will face off against Monte Vista at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Amador Valley's defense has only allowed 0.5 goals per game this season, so Monte Vista's offense will have their work cut out for them.
