Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mill Springs Academy). Everything went their way against the Cottage Cougars on Monday as they made off with a 14-6 victory. Mill Springs Academy hasn't had any issues with Cottage recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Noah Stewart was a major factor no matter where he played. He tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Britain Phillips, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Smith Brown-Hicks was another key player, earning three runs and two stolen bases.

The victory got Mill Springs Academy back to even at 3-3. As for Cottage, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

As of now, neither Mill Springs Academy nor Cottage have any future games scheduled.
