Soccer Recap: Norwalk's Higher State Rank on Full Display on Tuesday

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Roosevelt, Norwalk was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Carlisle Wildcats a 2-0 shutout. Given Norwalk's advantage in MaxPreps' Iowa soccer rankings (they are ranked 28th, while Carlisle are ranked 108th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Norwalk now has a winning record of 10-9-2. As for Carlisle, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-8-7 record this season.

Norwalk will venture away from home to face off against Bondurant-Farrar on Thursday. Carlisle does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
