Eden Christian Academy takes loss despite strong efforts from Hope Haring and Allie Emswiler

Recap: Eden Christian Academy vs. Aquinas Academy Crusaders

If Eden Christian Academy were riding high off their 62-29 takedown of the Laurel Spartan last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Eden Christian Academy fell 58-48 to Aquinas Academy on Thursday. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Eden Christian Academy in their matchups with Aquinas Academy: they've now lost four in a row.

Eden Christian Academy's loss came despite strong showings from Allie Emswiler and Hope Haring. Emswiler scored nine points along with eight rebounds and three steals, while Haring scored ten points along with seven rebounds and six assists. The matchup was Haring's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Emmie Smith was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with three steals.

Eden Christian Academy now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Aquinas Academy, they pushed their record up to 10-2 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Eden Christian Academy will square off against Bishop Canevin at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Aquinas Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Burrell at 12:30 p.m. Burrell will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 277th, while Aquinas Academy is ranked 86th).
