Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bishop McLaughlin Catholic). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Discovery Spartans 50-22. With the Hurricanes ahead 42-22 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Several Spartans players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Isaiah Hubbert, who picked up 75 receiving yards and one touchdown, and also rushed for 54 yards and one score on only six carries. Hubbert's longest rush was for an impressive 50 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.

Bishop McLaughlin Catholic's win ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-3. As for Discovery, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bishop McLaughlin Catholic will venture away from home to square off against Windermere Prep at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Discovery, they will head out to take on McLaughlin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
