Football Game Preview: Christian Brothers Falcons vs. Ponderosa Bruins + How To Watch

The Christian Brothers Falcons will face off against the Ponderosa Bruins at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Christian Brothers comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

Christian Brothers is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Woodcreek on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Falcons took a blow against the Timberwolves, falling 52-7. The Falcons were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 24-0.

Christian Brothers' defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Deakon Holden, who threw for 172 yards and one TD, and Jay Cummings, who rushed for 109 yards.

Meanwhile, Ponderosa's game last Friday was all tied up 14-14 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They came out on top against Bella Vista by a score of 28-21. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Bruins' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 162nd, while the Broncos are ranked 406th).

Ponderosa's win came from a few key players Christian Brothers will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Colton Ridgley, who threw for 174 yards and one touchdown, and also punched in one rushing score. Zealand Jenks got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Ponderosa's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Christian Brothers, their loss dropped their record down to 0-7.
