Recap: Bedford Bisons vs. Richland Rams
The Bedford Bisons's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They were beaten by Richland 50-20. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Bedford has scored all season.
Several Bisons players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Shannon Letrent, who scored seven points. Another player making a difference was Katie Mcdevitt, who scored five points.
Richland's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Trinity Macey, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds. Those 11 rebounds set a new season-high mark for her. Lanie Marshall was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with 13 rebounds and eight assists.
Bedford's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Richland, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bedford will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Somerset at 7:15 p.m. on January 3, 2024. Somerset comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Richland, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Shade at 4:30 p.m. on December 28th. Shade will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 630th, while Richland is ranked 296th).
