Softball Recap: Lincoln Comes Up Short

Lincoln was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Ames Little Cyclones, falling 10-2. The Railsplitters were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Little Cyclones apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in June of 2020.

Lincoln's loss dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Ames, their victory bumped their record up to 15-7.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Little Cyclones beat Lincoln by a score of 13-1 later that day.
