Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Scott). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Colby Eagles 48-16. The result was nothing new for the Beavers, who have now won five contests by 20 points or more so far this season.

Despite the loss, Colby still got an impressive performance from Cody Wright, who rushed for 109 yards on only 13 carries.

The victory made it two in a row for Scott and bumps their season record up to 5-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 45.0 points over those games. As for Colby, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5.

Scott and Colby are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Beavers will challenge Clay Center at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Colby, they will face off against Holcomb on Friday. The Eagles' defense better be ready for this one: the Longhorns have averaged an impressive 33.7 points per game this season.
