Soccer Recap: Cerritos Comes Up Short

After flying high against Oxford Academy last Friday, Cerritos came back down to earth. The Cerritos Dons came up short against the San Pedro Pirates on Monday, falling 5-1. Things were pretty much settled by the half as the Dons were already down 4-1.

Cerritos has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season. As for San Pedro, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 18-0-2.

Cerritos and San Pedro should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. Cerritos will challenge Glenn at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday up 668 places (524 vs. 1192). Similarly, San Pedro (ranked 31st) will meet Gardena (ranked 249th) at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
