Baseball Recap: Derby Gets the Win

It's playoff time, and Derby had no trouble coming through when it counted. They walked away with a 7-3 win over the Dodge City Red Demons on Tuesday. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Red Demons recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Jace Hambleton was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he posted two strikeouts, the most he's had since back in May of 2025. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run. That hit marked the first that he has got this season.

In other batting news, Cooper Williams was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. Those two hits gave him a new career-high. Kasen Webb was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double.

Derby's win bumped their record up to 17-10. As for Dodge City, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-15.

As of now, neither Derby nor the Red Demons have any future games scheduled.
