Ivy Riley leads a balanced attack to beat Commodore Perry

Recap: Jamestown Muskies vs. Commodore Perry Panthers

The Jamestown Muskies had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They secured a 29-24 W over Commodore Perry on Thursday. The win was just what Jamestown needed coming off of a 55-24 loss in their prior matchup.

Jamestown's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ivy Riley, who scored 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Alayna Cadman, who scored nine points.

Several Panthers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Skyleigh McCloskey, who scored ten points along with six rebounds and two steals. Marley Meyer was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with two steals.

Jamestown's victory bumped their record up to 5-8. As for Commodore Perry, their loss was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-15.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jamestown will take on Reynolds at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Pennsylvania (Reynolds is ranked 622nd, while Jamestown is ranked 638th). Commodore Perry's road trip will continue as they head out to face West Middlesex at 6:00 p.m. on January 29th.
