Basketball Game Preview: Mountain View Spartans vs. Gunn Titans

The Mountain View Spartans will challenge the Gunn Titans at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Mountain View comes in on 11 and Gunn on six.

On Tuesday, Mountain View blew past MacDonald, posting a 60-10 victory. The Spartans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 25 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Gunn had just enough and edged Cupertino out 30-27 on Tuesday.

Mountain View's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 24.2 points over those games. As for Gunn, their victory bumped their record up to 15-7.

Mountain View beat Gunn 43-35 when the teams last played back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for Mountain View since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
