Baseball Game Preview: Ozark Tigers vs. Kickapoo Chiefs

The Ozark Tigers are taking a road trip to take on the Kickapoo Chiefs at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Ozark comes in on six and Kickapoo on 12.

Ozark took a seven-run defeat the last time they faced off against Republic, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Ozark skirted past Republic 6-4.

Meanwhile, Kickapoo faced Nixa in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Chiefs had just enough and edged out the Eagles 3-2. Surprisingly, this marked the sixth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor in this series.

Ozark's victory bumped their record up to 23-7. As for Kickapoo, their win bumped their record up to 25-9.

Ozark skirted past Kickapoo 3-1 in their previous meeting back in April. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
