Softball Recap: St. James Takes a Loss

St. James was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Owensville Dutchmen, falling 18-1. The Tigers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Dutchmen from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

St. James saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hope Pierce, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

St. James' loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Owensville, their win ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. St. James will take on Laquey at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Owensville, they will venture away from home to take on Russellville at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
