Baseball Game Preview: St. Francis Gladiators vs. Escanaba Eskymos

St. Francis is on a seven-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Escanaba is on a five-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Gladiators will host the Eskymos at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (St. Francis 2.6, Escanaba 4) so any runs scored will be well earned.

St. Francis is headed into the game having just posted their closest victory since June 14, 2025 on Wednesday. They won by a run and slipped past Sacred Heart Academy 4-3.

Colton Peterson was excellent, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Escanaba was able to grind out a solid win over Gladstone on Tuesday, taking the game 7-4.

St. Francis' victory bumped their record up to 16-4. As for Escanaba, their win bumped their record up to 19-6.
