Capistrano Valley fell victim to Fairmont Prep and their airtight defense on Thursday. They lost 7-0 to the Huskies. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Capistrano Valley came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 29th, while Fairmont Prep are ranked 208th).

Capistrano Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4-2. As for Fairmont Prep, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-5-1.

Capistrano Valley didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 1-1 draw against Aliso Niguel on the 15th. As for Fairmont Prep, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next contest, a 7-0 win against Capistrano Valley Christian on the 15th.
