Soccer Recap: Rockmart Comes Up Short

While it was Rockmart who put the first points on the board on Thursday, it was Temple who put up more. While the 2-2 score might suggest a draw, it was the Temple Tigers who were credited with the victory. The Temple Tigers got it done in the shootout by posting six goals to the Rockmart Yellowjackets' five. The Yellowjackets just can't catch a break and have now endured seven defeats in a row.

Tucker Moring and Riley Gober scored both of Rockmart's goals, bringing their combined season tally to nine goals.

Rockmart's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Temple, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-3-1.

Looking ahead, Rockmart will be playing in front of their home fans against Haralson County at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Temple, they will venture away from home to square off against Bremen at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Temple is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.7 goals per game this season.
