Soccer Recap: Corning Takes a Loss

While it was all tied up 0-0 at halftime, Corning was not quite Las Plumas's equal in the second half on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Las Plumas Thunderbirds by a score of 1-0. The Cardinals haven't had much luck with the Thunderbirds recently, as the team's come up short the last nine times they've met.

Corning's loss dropped their record down to 12-10. As for Las Plumas, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a massive bump to their 10-4 record this season.

Coming up, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Corning take on the Live Oak at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Las Plumas, they will square off against Gridley at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Las Plumas is facing Gridley at the right time seeing as Gridley is stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
