Soccer Game Preview: Manzano vs. Capital

Manzano hasn't had much luck against Capital recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Monarchs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Jaguars at 6:30 p.m. Capital took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Manzano, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with ten losses in a row, Manzano turned things around against West Mesa on Monday. They skirted past the Mustangs 4-3. Manzano's offense finally found a way to get into gear: the high-octane performance was a 180-degree turn from their last ten games.

They hit West Mesa with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Iker Sosa, Luis Pacheco, Brandon Hernandez, and Justin Manzanares.

Meanwhile, Capital faced La Cueva in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Jaguars fell just short of the Bears by a score of 4-3. Capital haven't had much luck with La Cueva recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Manzano's win bumped their record up to 7-11. As for Capital, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-6-1.
