A total of 75 players have been identified as members of the 2024 MaxPreps All-Sac-Joaquin Section softball team.
There are two Players of the Year, two Underclassmen of the Year and 30 players on the first- and second-teams along with 15 honorable mentions.
The selection process was based on individual performance during section play, with regional play not being considered. An emphasis was placed on team success. Olivia Bauer, Sutter
Pitcher | Class of 2024The Boise
State commit was phenomenal once again for the Huskies. She batted .539
with 21 extra base hits, including 17 doubles. In the circle she was
brilliant, finishing 23-0 with a 0.50 ERA and 181 punch outs.
Mya Flindt, Whitney (Rocklin)
Catcher | Class of 2024The South Carolina
signee was arguably the toughest out in the section. The catcher hit
.554, drove in 41 runs and smashed 13 home runs.

Ayla Tuua, Capital Christian (Sacramento)
Pitcher | Class of 2026Everyone who
got a chance to see her work in 2024 can see why she will be one of the
most sought after players in the entire Class of 2026. She can pump heat
in the upper 60s and low 70s and can send balls 220-plus with ease.
Kennedi Freeland, Oak Ridge (El Dorado Hills)
Pitcher | Class of 2027She was a huge addition for the Trojans and helped the school capture its 11th section title. The freshman phenom finished with a 0.67 ERA and 158 Ks in 104 innings of work.

Infielder | Class of 2024Fans in attendance for the D2 section title game got to see a little glimpse of why she is committed to Oklahoma. She hit a towering three-run blast over the Sacramento State scoreboard to help propel the Thunder to a D2 title.
Presley Barnes, Oakdale
Catcher | Class of 2024The University of the Pacific commit was a massive piece to the Mustangs' run to a D3 championship. She finished with a .417 average and four home runs.
Riley Bigley, Pleasant Grove (Elk Grove)
Utility | Class of 2024The Concordia University Irvine commit led the Eagles with 33 total hits, 12 extra base hits, and a .440 average.
Marisa Bryson, Pioneer (Woodland)
Infielder | Class of 2026She did not have a sophomore slump after her impressive freshman season. The infielder hit .554 and went deep 13 times.
Charlize Cai, Vista del Lago (Folsom)
Utility | Class of 2024The Cornell pledge did it all for the Eagles. She was the team's top pitcher, base runner, middle infielder and a weapon at the plate.
Alexa Carino, Sutter
Catcher | Class of 2024A Sacramento State commit, she was one of the most feared hitters in the section. Carino hit .590, blasted eight home runs and reached base nearly 70 percent of the time.
Maalia Cherry, Vanden (Fairfield)
Infielder | Class of 2024The Bakersfield commit can flat out smash softballs. She hit eight home runs, hit .492 and drove in 38 runs.
Grace Diaz, Sutter
Utility | Class of 2024She had a hit in every single game this season. She piled up 57 hits and finished her senior season batting .600.
Hannah Duncan, Whitney
Pitcher | Class of 2024The Fresno State commit had another solid season in the circle for the Division 1 runner-ups. The powerful right-handed pitcher went 18-3 with 0.98 ERA.
Infielder | Class of 2024The Colorado Mesa commit finished the season with a bang, racking up 28 hits in her last 11 games. The shortstop was 5-for-7 against two of the top pitchers in the state.
Kailey Estes, Gregori (Modesto)
Pitcher | Class of 2024The ace for the Jaguars ends her career with 772 strikeouts and a solid 1.00 ERA. In 153 innings in 2024, she finished with 254 strikeouts.

Pitcher | Class of 2024The UC Riverside commit was her best in the biggest moments. She mowed down 14 batters in the D3 section title game.
Charlize Fasula, Rosemont (Sacramento)
Utility | Class of 2024The senior had at least one hit in every game she played in this season. She wrapped up the year with a .529 average and 45 total hits.
Maya Filger, Christian Brothers (Sacramento)
Pitcher | Class of 2024The Falcons ace and one of their top hitters finished the season batting .411 and pitched in over 108 innings.
Taylor Fitzgerald, Elk Grove
Outfield | Class of 2024The Thundering Herd made a deep playoff push thanks to clutch bats like Fitzgerald. She finished the season batting .424 and was automatic in the outfield.

Infielder | Class of 2024Capped off her remarkable Rams career by batting .553 and helping her team win a D4 section title.

Infielder | Class of 2024The Santa Clara commit had seven hits during the Rams' three game postseason run. Graham finished with a .523 average this spring.

Infielder | Class of 2025The junior had one of the top bats in the section. She finished with a .541 average with 28 extra base hits, including nine home runs.
Naomi Kalanetra, Davis
Catcher | Class of 2024The UC Davis commit was a rock for the Blue Devils all season at the plate and as a catcher. She hit .433 with six home runs.
Vanessa Keller, Kennedy (Sacramento)
Infielder | Class of 2024The Fresno State commit put up monster numbers for the Cougars this spring. She had 32 extra base hits, batted .563, drove in 46 runs and stole 27 bags.
Madeline Lawson, Pleasant Grove
Pitcher | Class of 2025The Columbia University commit finished 2024 with a 0.85 ERA in over 107 innings. She helped the Eagles to a second-straight D1 semifinal appearance.
Felesha LePenske, Dixon
Pitcher | Class of 2024A two-way standout for the Rams as the team's ace and one of their best bats. She finished her prep career with a 46-6 overall record in the circle.
Chase Mueller, Ponderosa
Utility | Class of 2024The Abilene Christian signee did it all for the Bruins this spring. She finished batting over .500 and went 14-3 in the circle with 104 punch outs.
Matea Muraoka, St. Mary's (Stockton)
Catcher | Class of 2025She was a stud behind the plate all season for the Rams. The junior can swing a bat as well, blasting nine home runs and finishing with a .547 average.
Samantha Nichols, Central Catholic (Modesto)
Infielder | Class of 2027The freshman made her name immediately known this year as she had 51 total hits. The shortstop finished the season with a .593 average and smashed eight home runs.
Brooklyn Paratore, Oak Ridge
Catcher | Class of 2026The sophomore showed off her cannon behind the plate throwing out two runners in the D1 section title game. She can hit too, finishing with a batting average above .400.
Taylor Sansaver, Tracy
Outfielder | Class of 2027The freshman could make a case for the fastest player in the section. She swiped 33 bags and was one of the toughest outs as she finished with a .547 average.
Hailey Shiflet , Bella Vista (Fair Oaks)
Utility | Class of 2025She was a huge reason the Broncos surprised some people by winning the Capital Valley Conference. She led the team with a .451 average and was one of the team's top pitchers.

Infielder | Class of 2025The shortstop for the D1 section champions was clutch with her glove and her bat all season. The NC State commit will be back for her senior season looking for three in a row.

Outfielder | Class of 2027Another freshman sensation for the Thunder. Alston had her biggest moments in the clutch, including eight hits during their postseason title run.

Pitcher | Class of 2024 The San Francisco State commit was the Bulldogs' workhorse once again in 2024. She struck out 157 in 134 innings.
Bree Barner, Golden Valley (Merced)
Pitcher | Class of 2024A machine in the circle. The Stanislaus State commit struck out 263 batters in 128 innings and hit .486 with six home runs.

Infielder | Class of 2024The Cal State San Marcos commit hit .655 this season with eight home runs. She had at least two hits in 10 games this season.
Addison Buckley , Elk Grove
Outfield | Class of 2024A tough out all year in the two spot for the Herd. The Sacramento State commit finished with a .406 batting average.
Natalie Camarena, Enochs (Modesto)
Pitcher | Class of 2024Headed to Cal Poly, she did damage on both sides of the ball. Camarena hit .567 at the plate and struck out 120 on the rubber.

Pitcher | Class of 2024The San Francisco State University commit was a strikeout machine in the circle, finishing her season with 224 punch outs.
Cali Cole, Stone Ridge Christian (Merced)
Pitcher | Class of 2024She had another very impressive season for the Knights. Cole finished her prep career batting .600 and 0.89 ERA in 102 innings.

Utility | Class of 2026The sophomore can swing it as she finished the season on a 14-game hitting streak. She smashed seven home runs and finished with a .424 average.

Utility | Class of 2024The UC Davis commit struck out 122 batters in 79 innings. She also can swing it, batting .438.
Riley Dossey, Vista del Lago
Infielder | Class of 2025The corner infielder hit five home runs and finished as an above .400 hitter for the Eagles.

Infielder | Class of 2024The Jaguars' top hitter finished 2024 with a .507 average after playing a very competitive schedule. She also swiped 16 bags.

Utility | Class of 2024The senior hit a big home run in the Rams' D4 title game. She finished the year batting .432 with 27 RBI.
Elisa Galli, Tracy
Pitcher | Class of 2025The powerful right-handed ace for the Bulldogs struck out 161 batters in 125 innings. She pitched back-to-back 10 inning games in the postseason leading her team to D2 section runner-up finish.
Chloe Gomes, Oakmont (Roseville)
Infielder | Class of 2025The Vikings' shortstop hit .434 and sent three balls over the fence this spring. She led the team with 36 RBI and was a solid glove in the middle of the diamond.
Ava Hernandez, Big Valley Christian (Modesto)
Pitcher | Class of 2024The Azusa Pacific University commit led her team to a Division 7 section title. She finished with 207 strikeouts, a 0.34 ERA and also hit .403 at the dish.
Tori Hernandez, Yuba City
Pitcher | Class of 2025The centerpiece of the Honkers team both as a hitter and in the circle. She hit three home runs and batted .395. In the circle, she pitched in 138 innings.
Kylee Huff, Gregori
Outfielder | Class of 2024The senior outfielder closed out her prep career batting .457 with five home runs. She finished with 43 total hits.
Bree Johnson, Capital Christian
Infielder | Class of 2024The Iowa commit had one of the best gloves in the section at shortstop. She also finished the season with a .476 average.
Infielder | Class of 2025The multi-sport champion finished her junior campaign with a .506 on-base percentage. She hit eight home runs and was a solid glove at third base.
Kaylee Kolhoff, Woodcreek (Roseville)
Utility | Class of 2024The senior finished her prep career by smacking 37 hits, 16 extra-base knocks and a .474 average for the Timberwolves.
Claire Krotine, St. Francis (Sacramento)
Utility | Class of 2025The junior led the Troubadours in average, total hits, RBI and runs scored. She was also perfect on defense with no errors in 43 total chances.

The junior can flat out hit. She tallied up 56 total base knocks and finished with a .636 average.

Pitcher | Class of 2027The Thunder would not be D2 section champions without the work of their young ace. She struck out 173 in 152 innings.

Utility | Class of 2025She had another solid season for the Raiders finishing with a .446 average and three home runs.
Jess Szelenyi, Oak Ridge
Utility | Class of 2024The lead-off hitter for the Trojans set the tone all season long. The Sacramento State commit could play all over the field but mainly made her presence felt as a sure-handed second baseman.
Nayellys Torres, Manteca
Pitcher | Class of 2024The Dominican University commit helped the Buffaloes reach the D3 section semifinals as the ace of the team and one of their best hitters.
Utility | Class of 2025The junior led the section with 15 home runs and was second with RBI with 52. She also struck out 20 batters in 178 innings.
Jolene White, West Park (Roseville)
Infielder | Class of 2027The shortstop exploded onto the scene with the Panthers this season. She was a solid glove up the middle and hit .466 and drove in 24 runs.

The Saint Mary's-bound senior shortstop hit .457 with 22 RBI and 32 runs scored from the lead-off spot.
