Soccer Recap: Hobbs Comes Up Short in High-Profile Matchup with Atrisco Heritage Academy

Hobbs faced Atrisco Heritage Academy in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Eagles came up short against the Jaguars, falling 5-1. Things were pretty much settled by the half as Hobbs were already down 4-0.

Hobbs' loss dropped their record down to 8-4-1. As for Atrisco Heritage Academy, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-2-1.

Hobbs and Atrisco Heritage Academy will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Eagles are set to square off against their familiar foe Roswell at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Atrisco Heritage Academy will challenge rival Albuquerque at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
