Soccer Recap: Upland Takes a Loss

Upland lost against Etiwanda back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Upland Highlanders/Scots came up short against the Etiwanda Eagles, falling 4-1. While losing is never fun, the Highlanders/Scots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 129th, while the Eagles are ranked 20th).

Upland's defeat dropped their record down to 10-8-1. As for Etiwanda, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-3-2 record this season.

Upland has already played their next game (against Chino Hills), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Etiwanda is taking a road trip to take on Los Osos at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Etiwanda has four straight victories, Los Osos has four straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the pitch.
