Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Whitney walked away with it. They walked away with a 48-40 win over the Half Moon Bay Cougars on Saturday. The victory was nothing new for the Wildcats as they're now sitting on five straight.

Half Moon Bay's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Zoey Lemoge, who dropped a double-double with 18 points and 17 boards. Lemoge has been hot for a while, having posted eight or more rebounds the last ten times she's played. Delaney Dorwin was another key player, putting up ten points and four steals.

Whitney's win bumped their record up to 28-9. As for Half Moon Bay, they moved to 23-8 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

As of now, neither Whitney nor Half Moon Bay have any future games scheduled.
