Soccer Recap: Carson's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak at Home

Carson lost against Banning back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Carson Colts fell just short of the Banning Pilots by a score of 1-0. While losing is never fun, the Colts can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 669th, while the Pilots are ranked 297th).

Carson's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-7-1. As for Banning, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Rancho Dominguez the next time they take the pitch. Banning will host Rancho Dominguez at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, while Carson will head out to face them at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
