Basketball Recap: East Forest Takes a Loss

East Forest was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They were outmatched by the Moniteau Warriors and fell 44-12. The Bears lost against the Warriors in their previous head to head back in January of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 47-37 score last time.

Moniteau's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Charlotte Thompson, who posted nine points and seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Maddy Eury, who scored eight points and five boards.

East Forest's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Moniteau, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-12.

East Forest and Moniteau could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings. East Forest will challenge Keystone at 7:15 p.m. on February 4th down 373 places (690 vs. 317). Meanwhile, Moniteau (ranked 517th) will meet Slippery Rock (ranked 253rd) at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
