Basketball Recap: Foothill Takes a Loss

Foothill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They took a blow against the River Valley Falcons, falling 61-16. The Mustangs lost against the Falcons in their previous head to head back in December of 2014, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 58-47 score last time.

Joyce Runner was Foothill's leading scorer, having posted eight points.

Foothill's defeat dropped their record down to 1-13. As for River Valley, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-10 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Foothill will face off against Elk Grove at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for River Valley, they will head out to challenge Nevada Union at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
