Basketball Recap: High Tech CV Takes a Loss

High Tech CV was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 37-33 heartbreaker at the hands of the Gompers Prep Academy Eagles. The Bruins were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2019.

Despite the loss, High Tech CV still got an impressive performance from Ella Navarro, who posted 27 points. That was a full 81.8% of High Tech CV's points, marking the ninth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.

High Tech CV's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Gompers Prep Academy, with the win, they broke their eight-game losing streak and moved their record to 1-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. High Tech CV has already played their next game (against Mountain Empire), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Gompers Prep Academy will look to defend their home court on Friday against Bayfront Charter at 4:00 p.m.
