Baseball Recap: Lakeside Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Lakeside can now relate to. They fell just short of Northgate by a score of 6-5 on Wednesday.

Lakeside got a big performance out of Jayden Mosley, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI and one double. Another player making a difference was Grant Jackson, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base.

Lakeside's defeat dropped their record down to 17-10-1. As for Northgate, they are on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 17 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-7 record this season.

While Lakeside had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
