Pueblo West waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They were the clear victors by a 17-9 margin over the Vista Ridge Wolves. The Cyclones might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 15 games by seven runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Gracie Briggs, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in September of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Acelyn Duran, who went 1-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Pueblo West kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in seven consecutive contests.

Pueblo West's record now sits at 17-6. As for Vista Ridge, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-7 record this season.

Pueblo West does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Vista Ridge, they will challenge Mesa Ridge at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Wolves will need to watch out since the Grizzlies have now posted at least ten runs in their last five games.
